Congratulations on GRIP #2 and here's some feedback from a fan. Madelainne and Michael, you are adorable, hopeful and juicy – amongst all kinds of other qualities. Thanks for letting us in to your relationships as it grows. This is so unique. And positive. Likewise, thank you Maureen and David for showing us your stuck places – thick as mud, repetitive, defensive – exactly as it can be in real life before we break through. I'm interested to see how you progress in the dialogue. For me, marriage is a very clear process: a vehicle for survival of the species through growing in love and understanding and seeing oneself reflected as we project our shadow side or beam our light. I love all the creative forms of marriage open to us at this point – long distance, part-time, common law, homosexual, heterosexual, conventional, sacred – we can make it anything we are capable of stretching into and our so-called failures only show us where we really are. After two marriages I am looking forward to another some time, always better as I grow. I don't have the worry about being restricted. When Mickey and I created our vows they included being able to separate peacefully if the marriage no longer served us, as long as we didn't part in anger. (He passed away after four glorious years, still in the honeymoon stage.) Finally, thanks so much to Marie for the article on circumcision. I was present at one for my nephew, actually held his tinuy hand during the cutting and was deeply shaken at his shock and pain and screams. This can't be good. So that's it. Glad to be a part of this community. Katherine Willow is a naturopathic doctor and founder of the Carp Ridge Ecowellness Centre near Ottawa, ON. |
